Pangea Map With Modern Countries

Pietrobon’s map is unique in that it overlays the approximate borders of present day countries to help us understand how pangea broke apart to form the world that we know today.

Pangea was, of course, a peopleless place. The united states now borders a few new countries including morocco, mauritania, senegal and cuba. Pangea and the modern world have two distinct images in the human mind. Massimo pietrobon, an amateur cartographer, designed a conceptual map called ‘pangea politico’.
